I’m heading off to BookExpo this morning, so I’m saving time today by putting up a photo of a gorgeous parasite.
Not the sea slug, although that’s a mighty attractive animal, too – the parasite is the bright purple copepod that’s attached to its gills. The Sea Slug forum at the Australian Museum has lots of similar pictures of gorgeous nudibranch mollusks infested by brightly colored copepod parasites. Take some time to look around their site!
